Entertainment News - An Introduction: Entertainment News is now in its 13th year of supplying showbiz stories and exclusive audio to the radio industry. In 2005, Entertainment News was a finalist at the Sony Radio Academy Awards in the Information category, while in 2007 Entertainement News won 'gold' at the European Radio Awards in Barcelona for Best Regular Showbiz Feature. Nearly 150 stations benefit from this editorial, providing commercial opportunities to group stations including Emap, Global Radio, GMG and UKRD. Background: Entertainment News is a division of UBC Media, based in Central London. Here, a dedicated team of radio journalists and presenters source and distribute audio cuts, cues and programme-pieces to newsrooms across three continents, including the UK. Entertainment News - The Service: We focus on UK, US and major international entertainment stories, drawing on the resources of Entertainment News' bureau in Hollywood. Our radio journalists and presenters have access to a constant stream of material coming in to the entertainment newsroom from around the UK and the world - including much of what is not picked up by many news agencies. News agencies, such as the Press Association, and national newspapers regularly quote interviews and stories which have been exclusively sourced by Entertainment News. We provide constantly updated rolling copy and audio cuts throughout the day from 4am. Entertainment News sends out three fully-produced bulletins a day rounding up the best of the last few hours. These are ready for broadcast in the breakfast, lunch and drive / evening day-parts.   In addition to this, Entertainment News provides longer programme packages, including new music previews, film round ups, covering the latest cinema releases, and a showbiz review of the last 7 days. For presenters, a prep service is provided as well as an entertainment newspaper review which drops daily at 4.15 and 5.15am respectively.
